Skålleague Denis Simond is CEO of Odyssey Travel, an organisation we have appointed as our  conference organiser. Skålleague Russell Windebank, Business Development Manager for Odyssey Travel will be responsible for the logistics and operational management of the Congress.

Odyssey Travel is a not-for-profit organisation made up of 27 member universities in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Their philosophy is to offer a wide range of adventurous, educational, cultural and heritage journeys that expand horizons and broaden the mind. They are a fully accredited IATA Travel Agent and, as a member of ATEC, are involved in various sectors of the tourism industry and are experienced event and conference organisers.

TAFE NSW is Australia's largest training provider, and it is among the largest in the world. The letters 'TAFE' stand for Technical and Further Education, and, for hundreds of thousands of people each year, it also stands for high quality, accessible training. Local TAFE students have been recruited to provide additional manpower for the World Congress. They are studying Events Management at the Sydney Institute near to Darling Harbour and by including them at the Skål World Congress, it is our intention to give them first hand exposure to and work experience at an international event which will enhance their employability in the Industry. So if some of the Congress workers look a bit young to be a member of Skål  - remember they are our future.
